Ivana Bočina i doc. dr. sc. Gabriela Vuletin Selak.

The workshop ˈHistology techniques in plant biologyˈ was organized in the Laboratory for Molecular Biology of the Institute for Adriatic Crops and Karst Reclamation, Split (IAC).
The workshop was managed by prof. dr. sc. Ivana Bočina and doc. dr. sc. Gabriela Vuletin Selak, both co-workers at the project ˈTomato grafting mitigates biotic stress caused by whitefliesˈ, TomGraf (HRZZ IP-2014-09-3365). Participants were young PhD students from the IAC, student from Faculty of Agriculture, University of Zagreb and other co-workers at the project.
Workshop comprised practical work in the lab and oral presentations. Practical work included preparation of plant tissues (leaf tissue), staining and analyse under light microscope (Axioskop 2 plus, Carl Zeiss, Jena, Germany). Different histology techniques were introduced to participants within the oral presentations. Workshop was also a great opportunity to present the application of histology techniques in experiments conducted within TomGraf project and results which significantly contribute to understanding of whiteflies infestation related to leaf morphology.
